Our Programs

Marching Band For over 65 years the Pride of Prattville Marching Band has demonstrated excellence in performance all over the Southeastern United States. marchingWhether it's the Prattville High School Marching Band stepping down the field andsupporting the best football team and coaching staff in the state, or the concert bands giving another masterful performance, Prattville continues its rich musical tradition year after year.

Wind Symphony, the top concert ensemble at Prattville High was created in 2004 and received in first Superior rating at State Festival in twenty five years. The Wind wind symphonySymphony generally plays music on a grade VI level, and has placed over 30 students in the Alabama All-State Band since it started. The goal of the Wind Symphony is to be one of the top performing high school ensembles in the Southeastern United States.

Symphonic Band is the second concert ensemble atPHS and generally plays grade IV music. It has become an outstanding ensemble and is a testament to the excellence symphonicin instruction and ability of the Symphonic Band.

Jazz Band meets after school and performs on all the concerts. It is open to anyone who plays Alto or Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Piano, Bass Guitar, Guitar, and Drums. Auditions are held after marching band.

Percussion Ensemble meets second semester and is made up of all of the percussion students in the PHS bands. Including working on concert band literature, this group focuses on percussion ensemble literature as well. Orchestral percussion technique is a primary focus where students will learn proper technique on all of the percussive instruments. This class is taught by Mr. Grant.
